After 3 traumatic brain injuries I am looking to find someone with similar issues related to a head injury. For years I have been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. About 4 years ago something major happened I underwent anesthesia for a joint repair and started suffering myoclonic symptoms with a propensity to startle. They persisted throughout multiple changes in medication of everything from seizure medicine to multiple psychotropics. I overdosed in 2021 after giving up on my treatment. I fell into a coma and when I came out of it the startles lessened for about 1 month. 2 years later they were worse than they ever were. Next I had to have an emergency appendectomy due to a ruptured appendix and gangrene with septis. After recovering from anesthesia the startles have been almost gone now for 2 months.
